Obvious to You. Amazing to Others.

I enjoyed this inspirational video by Derek Sivers about embracing the unique quality of our own creative ideas. I hope you’ll like it, too!

yeah… this is what we’re talkin’ ’bout! It’s nice to be noticed, but nicer to hear it! Sandy, what you’ve got here is a place to focus attentions of things that matter and should be thought about… it was GREAT of you to share this… to me, it means we are all human – we may make mistakes from time to time, here to there, but we always turn out OK! Have a Profound Week! Denise

Thanks, Denise! I saw this video and thought I’d probably post it on this blog. Then I was in a tele-class this morning for creative business women, and someone said she feels like her ideas are obvious ones that anyone could come up with. That’s when I knew I had to share this video here — so many of us thwart our creative pursuits with these thoughts.

Wishing you a week filled with creativity!

Thanks for posting this! Although this has occurred to me in the past I can’t be reminded enough, because it’s true and so easily forgotten in a fit of self criticism.

I think we all need reminders that our critical inner voices don’t know what they’re talking about! I’m glad you liked the video — thanks for stopping by and letting me know. Best wishes for all your creative pursuits!

I keep telling people this very same thing and then have to remind myself it’s true of me also! Thanks for this post and the video, I’ve bookmarked it to put in my own blog sometime.

Yes, we all need these reminders! Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Val. i just checked out your blog. I love your picture, “Dreamer” — it’s very compelling to me, with its translucent layers of dreaminess…
