Donkey at rest is actually an expression of optimism on the part of the photographer. Look at the negative space to the left of the donkey. That’s not a stationary donkey in the photographer’s mind, or he’d be centered in the frame. That’s a donkey with loads of potential energy. That’s a donkey about to go places. A donkey with a plan. I see that photo and think: be the donkey.
