Every Day is a Fresh Page

Lakeside Dawn by Gracey Stinson

Here’s some advice I’m giving myself today, after a couple of rough weeks. I thought I’d share it with you, too:

Don’t spend your creative energy worrying about:

the projects you haven’t done

the word counts you haven’t met

the days lost to the expected and unexpected stresses of life

Every morning when you wake up, you have a new chance to be creative.

Every day is a fresh page.

Write on it.

Good thing to remember Sandy! I tend to tell myself, “Oh I haven’t worked on that for months, it’s too long a time to go back” but that it is so not true. Hope all is well, my dear. xoxo

Thanks, Sandy. Very well timed post for me to read too. Hope you have some easier weeks ahead, but no matter what, there’s no reason for us to make things harder on ourselves.
