This visual inspiration is great indeed. I recognized my post once and now http://artbytomas.blogspot.com/2011/07/once-and-now.html at a glimpse here. Such confession may look strangely, yet different pictures brings the same aroma – the same knock on the heart.
Great Prompt. I am going to post my response on my art therapy blog Modus Vivendi. I already have the photo to the post and your prompt offered the text – thank you.
I’m glad you like the visual inspiration, Tomas. I love your artwork on the blog post you linked to!

I’m feeling a bit poetic at the moment. Think all my narrative energy is being used to write my book but poetry is pure imagery. It’s taken me a while to connect with this prompt but now that I have I love it.

PAINTING A FAMILY
I paint my family
Like an adolescent
Graphitizing a wall.
There’s my grandmother
Proud and kind
The soft place to fall.
She holds aunt’s hand
As they walk
Together to the shops.
Dad carries sister
Big, loud and tall
He never stops.
Other sister tall
Stands on her own
Or dancing at a ball.
I paint Mum last
Unsure of how
To make the image last.
Nice, Andrew! I like this — thanks for sharing it!
